The Houghton & Wyton Bowls Club was founded in/or around 1964 and 1975 on the present site and currently has 61 members and 4 life members (This includes none playing members).
Membership is open to ladies, gentlemen, and young persons over 12 years of age. Being an outdoor club the playing season is limited to the spring and summer months.
New members are welcome at any time but the best time for joining is March when membership is due and April just before the start of the playing season.
The green is provided by the Parish Council but maintained and developed by the Club. Recent changes to the Green include improvements to the playing surface and provision of end banks meeting English Bowling Association and English Bowling Federation specifications, and an extension to the green width to allow us to move the rings slightly to help with the wear and to play in a different direction.
